Ergon Bio Tank - Natural Eco Friendly Process

Ergon Bio Tank  Natural Process - Bio STP

Anaerobic + Aerobic + Evapotranspiration Technology

The Ergon Bio Tank System is a 2-stage natural biological wastewater treatment process that combines Anaerobic Digestion, Aerobic Bio-Polishing Plus  Evapotranspiration to convert in Stage II treatment and final environmental NET ZERO No Water -Eco friendly.  The system operates without electricity, mechanical aeration, or chemicals, utilizing naturally occurring beneficial bacteria and bio-enzymes to stabilize wastewater. Designed for residential, commercial, institutional, hospitality, and industrial applications, sustainable water management with No maintenance, zero energy consumption, and long servicelife.

STAGE I- Ergon Bio Collection Tank

Process Flow - Raw Sewage → Ergon Bio Collection Tank(Anaerobic Bio-Coated Process) → Clear & Odour-Free Effluent → Stage IIAerobic Treatment / Evapotranspiration System

The Ergon Bio Collection Tank is an advancedanaerobicbiological wastewater treatment system designed with a special bio-coated internal surface that promotes the rapid growth of beneficial anaerobic bacterial enzymes. Domestic sewage is retained inside the tank for a controlled hydraulic retention time (HRT), allowing the bacteria to naturally digest organic matter through the stages of Hydrolysis, Acidogenesis, Acetogenesis, and Methanogenesis.

This biological process significantly reduces BOD, COD, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), sludge formation, and foul odour, while converting wastewater into a clear, odour-free effluent suitable for Stage II Aerobic Bio Treatment or Evapotranspiration (ET) Process. The system operates without electricity or mechanical aeration, making it a sustainable, low-maintenance solution for decentralized sewage treatment.

 ERGON BIO EVAPOTRANSPIRATION SYSTEM (ET)

Stage II – Aerobic Bio-Polishing & Natural Evapotranspiration (Zero Liquid Discharge)

1. What is Evapotranspiration?

Evapotranspiration (ET) is a natural wastewater polishing process in which treated water is biologically purified through aerobic microorganisms, plant root zones, soil media and atmospheric oxygen. The remaining water is gradually absorbed by plant roots and released to the atmosphere as water vapour through transpiration while surface evaporation removes additional moisture. The Ergon Bio Evapotranspiration Tank is designed to achieve Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) without electrical equipment, mechanical aerators or chemical treatment.

2. How the Ergon Evapotranspiration Process Works

Step 1 – Aerobic Bio-Polishing

Naturally occurring aerobic bacteria oxidize remaining dissolved organic matter, reducing BOD, COD and odour.

Step 2 – Carbon Oxidation

Organic compounds are converted into carbon dioxide, water and microbial biomass.

Step 3 – Nitrification

Ammonia (NH₃) is biologically converted into Nitrite (NO₂⁻) and subsequently into Nitrate (NO₃⁻).

Step 4 – Root Zone Filtration

Plant roots and bio-media absorb nutrients while increasing oxygen transfer into the biological treatment zone.

Step 5 – Evapotranspiration

Water is absorbed by plant roots and released into the atmosphere as water vapour through natural transpiration and evaporation, achieving Zero Liquid Discharge.

3. Biological & Chemical Reactions

Carbon Oxidation

C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂ → 6CO₂ + 6H₂O

Nitrification

NH₃ → NO₂⁻ → NO₃⁻

Photosynthetic Oxygenation

6CO₂ + 6H₂O → C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂

Evapotranspiration

Purified water is naturally released as water vapour through plant transpiration and surface evaporation.
